In its final production of the 2015-2016 season, Mobile Opera presented Giacomo Puccini’s “Gianni Schicchi” on Friday, April 1, 8 p.m. and Sunday, April 3 at 2:30 p.m. at the Temple in downtown Mobile. Set in Florence, Italy, dying Buoso Donati’s family tear apart the home searching for a will, only to discover everything is left to the church. Patrick Jacobs played Simone, Buoso’s cousin who is not only the eldest relative of Buoso, but also was once Mayor of Fucchecchio. The production was conducted by Bernard McDonald and directed by Bill Fabris.
